Today’s adventure in delicious things: slab bacon (that’s 6 on the diagram above). Bought some of the maple-cured variety at the co-op today on Chris’s suggestion and have used it for two meals since - thin slices for BLTs with lettuce from Sarah’s farm and tomatoes from Jesse’s farm, along with some cheddar and leftover garlic scape pesto. Tonight, I cut it up into lardon-ish chunks and made a bacon-tomato-cheddar-garlic scape scramble. Rustic white bread on the side with butter and plumberry jam from Elmore Roots Nursery. So delicious.
