Some of Wilson “Snowflake” Bentley’s innovative snowflake photographs. “Bentley poetically described snowflakes as ‘tiny miracles of beauty’ and snow crystals as ‘ice flowers’… He died of pneumonia  at his farm [in Jericho, VT] on December 23, 1931, after walking six miles in a blizzard so he could photograph more snowflakes.”
